Bert van Meurs is Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Business Group Image Guided Therapy in Royal Philips. Bert began his career at Philips Healthcare in 1985, where he progressed through various leadership positions in R&D, Clinical Science, Marketing and Sales. In 1996 he moved to Asia to lead the Cardiovascular business for the Asia Pacific region.

From 2004 until 2012 he has been leading the Global Interventional X-Ray business, and from 2013 until 2015, he was the Chief Marketing Officer for the Imaging Systems business. Since 2010, Bert also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Philips Healthcare Medical Systems Nederland BV. Recently, Bert has been leading the acquisition of the company Volcano and as of January 2015, Bert is heading the new Business Group Image Guided Therapy, including the Interventional X-Ray systems business as well as responsible for the integration of the Volcano acquisition into Philips. Bert holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Utrecht and in Industrial Marketing from the Technical University Eindhoven. Bert is married and has 2 children. In his spare time, he is an active runner.

JAN KIMPEN, MD. Chief Medical Officer, Philips Healthcare

Jan Kimpen is Chief Medical Officer at Philips, a position he has held since January 2016. He joined the University Medical Center Utrecht, one of the largest healthcare organizations in the Netherlands, in 1997 as professor and chairman of Pediatrics, and became President of the Board in 2009. At UMC Utrecht, Jan strengthened ties with the world-renowned Netherlands Cancer Institute at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL) and the Netherlands Pediatric Oncology Center. He has been the driving force behind partnerships with Philips and Eindhoven University of Technology, where he is a member of the strategic advisory board Health. Jan supports Philips in its integrated approach to coordinated care across the health continuum, focusing on value-based care solutions that deliver better patient outcomes at lower costs. In his role as Chief Medical Officer he works closely with the company’s global network and medical thought leaders placing deep clinical insights and a people-focused approach at the heart of the Philips proposition.
His experience forging partnerships in the public healthcare sector provides a strong foundation to expand and deepen Philips cooperation agreements with the numerous public and private stakeholders in the healthcare industry. Jan is married and has two daughters. He enjoys hiking, running, books and modern art.

Yair Briman, General Manager of Healthcare IT, of Philips HealthTech, is the leader of the global Philips Informatics healthcare businesses focusing on EMR, PACS, Cardiology informatics and Advance visualization. Prior to this over 5 years, Yair managed the Imaging Clinical Applications and Platforms (ICAP), delivering a leading solution for clinical applications that analyzes and virtualizes medical images and provides Best-In-Class Integrated Application platform for Philips Healthcare.
Yair started his career at Philips in 2006 as the CT Global software, Sr. Director where he led several hundred engineers, and ramped up a new development site in Bangalore. Yair held the position of VP, R&D Development, at a startup, developing highly distributed shared memory middleware. Yair began his career at Intel, where he held multiple technology and managerial positions, and was later appointed as Manager of SW Development, leading a large team of engineers, across multiple geographies, providing multi cloud computing solutions resulting in extensive savings for the company. Yair holds a BSc from the Technion, Haifa. He lives in Zikhron Yaakov with his wife and two children. In his spare time enjoys reading, mountain biking and water sports.

AVINOAM SAPIR. CEO, Teva Israel

Avinoam joined Teva in 2002 and spent his first years in the company in financial management positions and was head of the strategic customers unit in Teva Israel. In 2007 Avinoam was appointed to serve as CEO of SLE, Teva Israel’s distribution company. From 2011, Avinoam served as Vice President of Business Development at Teva’s Headquarters. In this role he was responsible for a range of activities related to the company’s global business development, focusing on mergers and acquisition activities. In 2013 he was appointed CEO of Teva in Israel.
Avinoam holds a BA (Summa Cum Laude) in Economics and Logistics from Bar Ilan University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. Prior to joining Teva, Avinoam founded and ran a company in the media field. Previously, he served for a decade in various command positions in the IDF. Avinoam is currently on the management board of the Manufacturers’ Association (Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Cleantech Society) and a former board member of the Chambers of Commerce.

Yossi Ofek began his career in Teva over 20 years ago, and has held various management roles in the company. Yossi currently holds the position of Managing Director of the Pharma – Innovative Solutions Business in Teva Israel. The unit deals with the marketing activities of branded prescription drugs, diagnostic tests and advanced and innovative complementary products.
In the six years prior to that, Yossi served as CEO of Teva Medical and managed Teva’s activities in South Africa. Yossi is on the board of directors in a number of private companies and on the investment committee at Sanara Ventures, a collaboration between Teva and Philips in Israel. Yossi holds an MBA from Derby University.

Mati is the Head of Government Affairs and Policy for Teva Growth Markets at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, a global leader in generic and specialty pharmaceuticals that delivers high-quality medicines to 200 million people around the world every day. Mati previously served as Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Teva Global Legal Group between 2011-2016. He is also a licensed Lawyer and served as the Executive Director of the Australian Israel Leadership Forum.
Until March 2009, Mati served as Chief of Staff of Israel’s Minister of Public Security Mr. Avi Dichter, a position in which he was in charge of management of the Minister’s public agenda and office, and advised on professional, political, communications and international affairs. Mati is an active social entrepreneur in the Israeli community. He co-founded and leads the “Sanhedrin Forum” for young Israeli professionals. A reserve officer at the rank of Major in the IDF, Mati served as Operational Liaison Officer with United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Lebanon and the Golan Heights and with the United States Army.
