Jan Kimpen, MD
Chief Medical Officer, Philips Healthcare
Jan Kimpen is Chief Medical Officer at Philips, a position he has held since January 2016. He joined the University Medical Center Utrecht, one of the largest healthcare organizations in the Netherlands, in 1997 as professor and chairman of Pediatrics, and became President of the Board in 2009. At UMC Utrecht, Jan strengthened ties with the world-renowned Netherlands Cancer Institute at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL) and the Netherlands Pediatric Oncology Center. He has been the driving force behind partnerships with Philips and Eindhoven University of Technology, where he is a member of the strategic advisory board Health. Jan supports Philips in its integrated approach to coordinated care across the health continuum, focusing on value-based care solutions that deliver better patient outcomes at lower costs. In his role as Chief Medical Officer he works closely with the company’s global network and medical thought leaders, instilling deep clinical insights and a people-focused approach at the heart of the Philips proposition.
His experience forging partnerships in the public healthcare sector provides a strong foundation to expand and deepen Philips cooperation agreements with the numerous public and private stakeholders in the healthcare industry. Jan is married and has two daughters. He enjoys hiking, running, books and modern art.
Senior Vice president, Business Development, Teva
Eli is the head of Teva’s global business development group since 2018. He joined Teva in 2006 as a Vice President in the Corporate Business Development group and led acquisitions and divestments till moving in 2011 to PGT, a joint venture created with P&G for both companies’ global OTC business where he served as the JV’s Chief Operating Officer and Teva’s senior manager in the partnership.Prior to joining Teva, Eli was a CFO and head of BD at a young ophthalmic medical device company, and prior to that, a lawyer and an investment banker working for Credit Suisse as well as CIBC. He holds a joint degree in law and accounting from the University of Tel Aviv and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Managing Director at Pharma Innovative Solutions, Teva Israel
Yossi Ofek began his career in Teva over 20 years ago and has held multiple management roles. Yossi currently holds the position of Managing Director of Pharma – Innovative Solutions Business, at Teva Israel. The unit deals with the marketing activities of branded prescription drugs, diagnostic tests and advanced and innovative complementary products.
In the six years prior, Yossi served as CEO of Teva Medical and managed Teva’s activities in South Africa. Yossi is on the board of directors of several private companies and on the investment committee at Sanara Ventures. Yossi holds an MBA from Derby University.
Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Head of Global Communications & Brand at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.
Mark began his career at Teva in 2006, as Vice President, Human Resources for the International Group and Global Human Capital & M&A. In 2013, Mark was appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role he leads the entire scope of Teva global people strategy and operations. In October 2019, Mark was also appointed Head of Teva’s Global Corporate Communication and Brand activities. Mark is the driving force behind strategic global transformations, redesigning key global people and communication processes and corresponding technology infrastructure, as well as leading major cultural changes. Prior to Teva, Mark held various HR leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Intel Corporation. Mark holds a BA in Economics and Business Management from Haifa University, Israel.
Head of Philips Ventures
Rich is the head of Philips Health Technology Ventures group, Philips dedicated venture investment arm, which he launched in 2016. Prior to joining Philips and launching the ventures program, Rich was part of Partners HealthCare’s in-house venture fund, Partners Innovation Fund, where he was responsible for the creation, launching and funding of new ventures generated from Partners innovative research discoveries. He also spent time in the investment banking industry, working for both Bank of America as well as Deutsche Bank Securities. Rich holds a degree from Harvard University in engineering sciences and is an adjunct professor at Tufts University where he teaches a course on Entrepreneurial Finance.

Eran Rubens is a senior executive in the healthcare industry with over 20 years of professional experience. Eran spent the last 16 years at Philips in various technology leadership positions where he led software innovations, partnerships and M&A activities in medical imaging and informatics. He is the author of 6 patents in the field. Eran holds a B.A in computer science from the Open University.
